For each transferred batch of incoming waste, the following checks are also performed:
entry in the weekly transfer schedule;
carrier authorization check (waste carrier enrolled in the relevant register);
accompanying documentation check;
radiometric check on material;
visual and type inspection of material on the means of transport;
visual inspection and detection of any undesirable presence in the unloading area.
CHECK OF THE BASIC CHARACTERISTICS, as stated by the manufacturer, and performed before insertion into the sysytem. This consists of identifying all of the characteristics of the waste (type, origin, composition, consistency and other properties that are characteristics of the production process generating it), useful for assessing the suitability for collection and the treatment to which it will be subjected.
COMPLIANCE TESTING:
consisting of analytical tests (type approval) at an accredited laboratory to ensure that the waste complies with its characteristics as stated in level one. The compliance check is performed every six-months or whenever there is a significant change in the production process that generates the waste.
VISUAL AND MERCHANDISE TESTING:
This consists of visual and sensorial inspections and tests to ensure that the incoming batch of waste corresponds to that stated in the accompanying documents. The inspections are performed at each waste delivery and are only possible while each batch is being weighed or unloaded.
