RMB certifications

Guarantee of quality, sustainability and transparency

RMB adopts a rigorous approach to managing its processes, based on two types of certification

2003 - ISO 9001:2015 2003 - ISO 14001:2015 2010 - Att. SOA 2014 - White List 2016 - Legality Rating 2020 - ISO 45001:2018 2024 - SA8000 2025 - Gender equality UNI/PdR 125:2022

The two types of certification

RMB takes a rigorous approach to managing its processes based on two types of certification, both considered fundamental by the material recovery and special waste management industries:

  • System certifications, which validate internal organisation and the effectiveness of management processes;
  • Product certifications, which ensure the quality and compliance of recovered materials with European regulations, with a view to protecting the environment.

Both serve as crucial tools for guaranteeing the reliability of the services provided and for fostering a corporate culture that is transparent, sustainable, and aligned with ecological transition goals, while highlighting RMB’s ongoing commitment to excellence.

System certifications

RMB has implemented an Integrated Management System that complies with international standards:

  • UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management
  • UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management
  • UNI ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety

These certifications are issued by DNV, a globally accredited certification body, testifying to the adoption of controlled, secure processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

Product certifications

RMB has obtained numerous certificates of conformity for the production of End of Waste (discontinuation as waste, according to the principles of the circular economy), certifying the quality of its recycled materials and their suitability for industrial re-use:

  • Iron, steel and aluminium, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 333/2011
  • Copper and its alloys, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 715/2013
  • Unbound aggregates, in accordance with UNI EN 13043:2006, 12620:2008 and 13242:2008
  • Cement mixes, in accordance with UNI EN 14227-1:2013

These acknowledgements ensure that recovered materials are treated in compliance with European regulations and are ready to be reintroduced into the production cycle in a safe and sustainable manner.

Other acknowledgements and authorisations

RMB is registered in the National Register of Environmental Operators for the following categories:

  • Category 8 – Brokerage and trading of waste without taking physical possession thereof
  • Category 9 – Remediation of contaminated sites

The company has also obtained the SOA certification, issued by SOA Laghi S.p.A., which allows it to participate in public tenders for the execution of environmental and infrastructural works.

A solid foundation for growth and reliability

The certification system adopted by RMB is a strategic asset that strengthens its reputation in the environmental and waste recovery sectors. Certifications ensure:

  • Secure business processes
  • Transparent internal management
  • Compliance with national and international regulations
  • Sustainable results

Through these features, RMB stands as a benchmark in Italy for waste management, material recovery, and environmental impact reduction, contributing to the creation of a more responsible and efficient future.

As a confirmation of its increasingly concrete commitment to social responsibility, in 2024 RMB was certified under SA8000, a global standard that ensures organisations uphold ethical working conditions and human rights, extending its requirements also to suppliers and subcontractors.

In 2025, it also achieved an important goal with the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification, testifying to its desire to promote a fair, inclusive working environment that fosters diversity.

Both certifications reinforce RMB’s vision as a sustainable industrial concern that focuses on people and the area in which it operates.
