Commitment to a more sustainable future

At RMB, innovation is at the heart of every choice. The company develops state-of-the-art technologies and installations to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and make the most of every resource.

Technology and human capital

Research and development are the engine of innovation at RMB. These are developed through state-of-the-art technologies, with the essential contribution of competent, well-trained staff

Patents: innovation by RMB

RMB has filed two invention patents and three related to recovery processes, stemming from the ongoing commitment of its dedicated research and development teams. Other patents are currently being registered.

Plant Engineering Department

Research and development is a key pillar of RMB's growth strategy. Process optimisation and the continuous development of waste treatment skills is entrusted to a dedicated team that works constantly in the company’s laboratories and research areas to foster and maximise the innovation of processes and recovered materials. The Plant Engineering Department works closely with RMB’s other divisions, as well as with universities and research institutes, to stay at the forefront of the industry. Strategic objectives include the development of new technologies and patents aimed at increasing the quantity and type of EoW (End-of-Waste) products. These objectives are influenced by the context in which RMB operates, such as the global drive towards decarbonisation – evidenced by the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of company buildings for the production of renewable energy usable for its production business and electric vehicles – along with process automation and digitalisation.

RMB IN THE WORLD

Flexibility and international reach

RMB  SPEAKS A GLOBAL LANGUAGE

RMB is increasingly oriented towards international growth, through a young, skilled, and constantly up-to-date sales team capable of operating effectively across multiple countries. Flexibility, market awareness, and in-depth technical knowledge of materials and industrial waste recovery processes make the sales department a key driver of the company’s global development.

Technical expertise as a driver of business

Every RMB sales operator is trained to have in-depth knowledge of materials, processing methods, environmental regulations, and import/export requirements, in line with the principles of the ecological transition. This know-how is essential for building strong relationships with international customers and suppliers, for selecting the most suitable products, and for ensuring transactions are efficient, secure, and tailored to the specific needs of each market.

Full export/import support

The sales team operates alongside:

  • Back Office, responsible for coordinating activities
  • Environmental Technical Office, which provides support and advice for managing import/export procedures, transboundary shipment notifications, and relations with local authorities
  • Logistics, which organises the transportation of incoming and outgoing materials — by road and intermodal routes — thereby streamlining operations, reducing turnaround times and complexity, and ensuring both logistical efficiency and environmental sustainability

RMB imports materials and special waste destined for recovery from:

Germany, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Austria, England, Croatia, USA, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden
